ATTENTION:
Possible shuttle delays and gate modifications beginning November 14
Member of the United Auto Workers (UAW), the union representing Postdocs (PX) and Graduate Student Researchers (BR) bargaining units within the University of California system, including those at the Lab, have voted to strike beginning Nov. 14 at 8 a.m. if they are unable to reach an agreement. If there is picketing, be aware that traffic delays may occur, and all Lab personnel should make safety their number one priority.
Strawberry Gate will be closed to Lab shuttles in the event of a strike, which means that several shuttle routes will need to change to accommodate this change.
The following changes will be made beginning Monday, November 14 if a strike occurs:
-
Blue route: No change in the shuttle schedule.
-
Orange route: Will access the Lab through the Blackberry Gate and maintain all regular Lab pickup locations, with the Pool stops on Centennial Drive closed. Riders should use the Rim Way and Gayley stop as an alternate.
-
Rockridge route: Will keep its regular schedule off-site, but it will enter through the Grizzly Gate and exit through the Blackberry Gate before stopping at the B65 shuttle stop.
-
Potter Street/JBEI: No change in the shuttle schedule.
-
North Berkeley route: No change in the shuttle schedule.
-
MacArthur route: No change in the shuttle schedule.
