A sweeper van will follow on the Blue route in the morning to pick-up any passengers who were not able to make it on the shuttle bus. The shuttles are filling more often, and when full, will display a “Shuttle Full” sign and bypass people standing at stops. The sweeper van will pick up those left by the shuttle bus. The sweeper van will only run between Downtown Berkeley BART and Bldg 65 and the stops in between. It will run between 7:25 and 9:20 in the morning.
While this experiment is being conducted, the ALS Express will be on hold. Details of the experiment will help transit leadership decide on future additions to the transportation system.
