The Lab’s downtown shuttle stop on the Blue route has a permanent home. Due to ongoing construction projects in the downtown area, the Lab’s downtown stop has moved numerous times in the past few years. It now has a permanent location on the east side of Shattuck Avenue in front of Jupiter restaurant and the Bank of America and directly across the street from the downtown Berkeley BART station. The stop is shared with AC Transit.
On the Blue and Orange routes, the uphill stop on Oxford Street and University and the uphill stop on Hearst Avenue and Arch have closed. They have been consolidated into a new stop at Oxford and Berkeley Way. These changes are in effect until October 2023 due to construction.
In other stop changes, the stop that serves the OCFO building on the Potter/JBEI route has moved to Hollis Street to ease the traffic flow.
On the Lab’s hill site, the downhill cafeteria stop has moved to in front of the Guest House. The Lab is also adding an uphill stop near Lot J at the intersection of McMillan and Lawrence Roads.
