Don’t let your car be used as an illustration of bad parking.
Parallel parking is often a challenge, and even more so at the Lab.
There are a few things you can do to make it easier for you and your colleagues to park safely and to keep your car from getting dings and scratches:
- Park close enough to your colleagues’ vehicles to maximize space, but leave adequate space for other cars to maneuver; typically this is about two feet between a standard-sized car with a little more room for a larger vehicle.
- Once you are in, check your parking job and take the time to adjust if needed. This extra time can save you from bodywork.
- Never park in a red curbside area or in an area with “No Parking” sign.
If you are using stack parking, following the rules for that specialized parking.
