Carpool with Scoop to the Lab’s 49th annual Runaround for a convenient, affordable, eco-friendly way to skip the parking stress. Then swing by the Scoop booth at the Finish Line Festival for giveaways and contests.

Heading to the Lab’s 49th annual Runaround on Friday, Oct. 23? Skip the parking stress and make Scoop Commute part of your Runaround day. Whether you’re running, walking, biking, or cheering from the finish line, carpooling with Scoop is a convenient, affordable, and sustainable way to get to the Lab’s hill site without worrying about limited parking on event day.
Once you’ve crossed the finish line (or cheered others across it), stop by the Scoop booth at the Finish Line Festival to try Scoop’s fun carpool video game and win a prize from Scoop! While you’re there, discover how easy it is to carpool in the real world with Scoop Commute. As a member of the Lab community, you’ll enjoy discounted rides, and drivers are always reimbursed for sharing their commute. Play, win, and make your commute better!
How It Works: Scoop dynamically matches you with fellow Lab community members going the same way, whether you’re a passenger or a driver. In the app, riders can set their home pickup locations, and drivers get reimbursed for trip costs and gain access to designated carpool parking spots across the Lab’s hill site.
To get started, download the Scoop app and register with your @lbl.gov email address. Morning commute requests can be scheduled up to 9 p.m. the night before, and afternoon return trips by 2 p.m. the same day.
