1. Explore the shuttle routes….Blue, Orange, North Berkeley, Rockridge, Potter Street/JBEI, or the new Upper Hill. They all provide quick, convenient and free rides to the Lab.
You can connect to the shuttle with BART, bike, scooter, skateboard, or your feet (but helmets for bike, scooter, and skateboard please, and no riding of scooter or skateboard at the Lab itself).
The Lab shuttles pick up and drop off at Rockridge, Ashby, Berkeley, and North Berkeley BART stations. For those who live in Berkeley, the blue route, North Berkeley route or Rockridge route shuttles may be only a few blocks from your front door. Check out the maps.
2. Train it. The Potter Street shuttle stops just a block and a half from the Emeryville AMTRAK station.
3. Bike it. Not for the weak legged, but if you bike it, the muscles will follow. Or forget about more defined calf muscles and hop on an e-bike to get up the hill.
4. Walk it. See bike it above. You will get your daily steps up if you step up along Cyclotron Road.
5. Van and carpool. Reserved spaces for those who use carpools or vanpools to get to work.
